Lackawanna Pro Bono, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the purpose of providing without charge a broad range of quality civil legal services for the poor and economically disadvantaged who reside in the corporation’s service area consisting of Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.

The corporation aims to provide direct legal services to the indigent population of Lackawanna County through local attorneys volunteering their services in the various areas of the law in which it has been determined that the indigent clients have the greatest need for services. The coordination of the program and the volunteers is done by a small staff of paid employees.

The corporation is primarily a charitable organization in which legal services are being donated to those persons determined to be in the greatest need of access to the justice system. The corporation intends to fund its small staff and equipment needs through charitable donations from the community and through grants and contributions from various funding sources
