Welcome to Lackawanna Pro Bono’s website!
Lackawanna Pro Bono is a non-profit organization through which local lawyers volunteer – free of charge – to represent people living in poverty who have serious civil legal problems in Lackawanna County.
For those who have no place else to turn for legal representation, the lawyers who volunteer through Lackawanna Pro Bono are a lifeline. They take on a wide variety of civil issues, working to ensure that those in need have an advocate at their side. For a list of the types of cases we handle, please click here.
We are fortunate that many Lackawanna County lawyers volunteer their time and professional expertise through our program. We are also fortunate that so many other individuals and entities, both within and outside the legal community, support Lackawanna Pro Bono’s efforts financially and otherwise. I am proud of and grateful to our volunteers and our other supporter who strive to make the American ideal of equal justice a reality for the people we serve.
